Digital Weaving Norway

Digital Weaving Norway (DWN) is a department of the Norway-based Tronrud Engineering Moss that manufactures digital weaving looms called the Thread Controller 2 (TC2). The loom is a state-of-the-art, computer-assisted hand Jacquard loom that allows artists and designers to send digital images directly from software like Adobe Photoshop to the loom for artists, designers, and researchers to easily weave complex, non-repetitive textiles. DWN’s looms are utilized globally across a variety of fields: Textile Artists & Independent Designers; Makerspaces & Fab Labs; Industrial R&D; and Education in top art and design universities.
