Loom Rental Information
Our looms are available to rent for independent projects.
LMRM’s offering includes one floor loom and two semi-automatic TC2 digital jacquard looms. PROCESSES + PRICING
Floor Loom Rental
The floor loom is available on a monthly basis, with a sliding scale fee of any number between $250-400/month. No questions asked, just let us know what fee you select.
A non-refundable 50% booking deposit (goes toward your total month rental fee) holds your space on the loom until you start your project. The full monthly rental fee is due by the first day of your booking. Booking periods are requested 1 month at a time. For projects requiring more time, we ask that you reserve the following month with an additional booking deposit.
TC2 Digital Jacquard Loom Rental
LMRM’s two TC2 Digital Jacquard Looms are available via a pay-per-use model. These looms come with warp material already installed, where each cycle features a shared warp amongst renters. This allows renters to weave back to back without any down time spent on setting up their own warp. LMRM curates standard and special warps depending on the season, offering renters the opportunity to experiment with new materials and new configurations.
Our two TC2 looms vary in size and will carry different warp material from each other during each rental cycle. Please refer to each loom for different rental fee options.
Minimum booking is two sessions (8 hrs) before you can increment single sessions (4 hrs) to your booking request. For example, renters can book three sessions over 1.5 days, or break up the two sessions across two days. Maximum booking requests are set at ten total sessions per cycle. We cap our material use at 3 yards of warp per rental period. Your requested sessions will be the number of sessions billed.
A non-refundable 50% booking deposit (goes toward your total rental fee) holds your space on the loom. The full rental fee is due by the first day of your rental period. Material usage fees are charged on the last day of your rental. We fill our booking calendar 30-60 days at a time. You must attend an authorization workshop in order to request individual rental time on our looms.
POLICIES
These policies apply to the entirety of LMRM and its participants, regardless of which equipment is being used. Please read through each policy before booking with us!
-
Regardless of floor loom or digital loom, deposits are non-refundable. Rescheduling will require a new deposit, as the original one goes towards finding/vetting a new reservation or compensating the empty slot. We thank you for understanding and encourage you to double check your calendars.
-
Confirmed bookings require 7 days written notice for cancellation; otherwise remainder of balance is due in full by first rental date.
Partial cancellation of the rental period does not entitle renters to a prorated refund of the rental period.
-
Rental arrangements are for experienced hand weavers who can work independently on the looms. We are available for troubleshooting the equipment if anything comes up. Should you require excessive assistance outside of this, we reserve the right to charge a loom training fee of $50/hour. We recommend you prepare an assistant or instructor to provide guidance if you anticipate needing support for file-design or weaving.
-
Renters may come and go during the open hours at their discretion. All breaks, late starts, early ends are your responsibility. Rental fees are paid to reserve LMRM’s open hours and exclusive access to the equipment. Unused hours do not roll over.

This is a shoes-off studio. We ask that you remove your shoes when visiting the studio, and welcome you to bring your own indoor footwear. Alternatively, we also provide shoe coverings and foam slippers which can be cleaned with a spray disinfectant.
Thank you for helping us keep our studio clean and cozy :)
